I am a Registered Psychologist and Canadian Certified Counsellor. I understand that physical and mental health concerns can impact life in various ways. My approach is to provide a non-judgmental space for people to find the root cause of their presenting concerns, while providing practical tools that can be applied immediately towards the change people would like to see in themselves. I have experience working with clients who have borderline personality disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and/or who are experiencing difficulties with life transitions such as with illness, relationships, and grief, including end of life.
I have training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also practice from the perspective of Trauma-Informed Care. I enjoy working with people of all faiths, and cultural backgrounds, including individual adults, couples, older adults, and people who are a part of the LGBTQ2S+ community.
During my 18+ years working in healthcare, I have developed a passion for supporting people who are experiencing difficult life transitions and grief, including end of life. I was an occupational therapist and a yoga instructor before a therapist, and can offer a wholistic view. Outside of work, I travel, hike, cycle, and spend time with my two dogs.
